Appointment-Plus Data Security and Privacy
From the time you sign up for a free trial account all the way through your staff and customers scheduling appointments, Appointment-Plus places the highest level of importance on the security and privacy of your data. We utilize state of the art physical server security, data encryption, and internal privacy policies. We never sell or share data. In addition, we back up all data daily with redundant measures and physical locations.
Appointment-Plus utilizes the latest Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology secures information and data transmitted via the Appointment-Plus system by encrypting information and providing authentication. Appointment-Plus uses SSL 3.0, RC4 with 128 bit encryption (High), RSA with 1024 bit exchange. Access to private areas of any Appointment-Plus account requires a login using a unique username and password. To ensure safety, these passwords can be changed at anytime. Strong passwords, IP restrictions, forced interval password changes, and many other options are available as system settings to adjust your security settings as needed.
Like many application service providers and other internet-based vendors, Appointment-Plus servers house your organization and customer/client data. Unlike most other providers, Appointment-Plus stores your data for your online scheduling needs only. We do not share your organization's data or your client/customers' data with anyone unless you direct us to do so or we are required to do so by law.
Physical Location of Servers
Standard Appointment-Plus servers are housed in high security dedicated hosting centers. Appointment-Plus servers take advantage of climate, back-up and security measures including:
Regulated Climate Control
The server environment within the dedicated hosting centers is maintained at a permanent cool 68 degrees to ensure that the servers are functioning in an optimal environment.
Backup Power Systems
The dedicated hosting centers do not rely upon the local power grid to guarantee uptime. The data centers' on-site, diesel-powered generators and centralized Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) provide power conditioning and ensure uninterrupted dedicated hosting centers operations.
Dedicated Hosting Data Center Security
The dedicated hosting center is physically isolated from everyone but senior technicians. Monitored closed circuit television and 24x7 onsite security personnel guard the facility while military-grade pass card access and biometric handscan units provide further layers of security.
The data centers' Network Operations Center (NOC) staff monitors the network 24x7, with network engineers available at any time in the event of an emergency.
