Appointment-Plus Reports Record First Quarter Growth
Online appointment scheduling leader notches major client wins and record growth to start 2009.
Scottsdale, Arizona - Appointment-Plus, the industry leader in web-based scheduling software, kicked off 2009 with a spectacular first quarter and the opening of a new office in San Francisco, California. Despite the economic downturn, the software-as-a-service firm's first quarter included a record number of new client signups, a record number of monthly appointments, and major new client wins. In addition, Appointment-Plus added several new features to its online appointment system to maintain its leadership position.
Major client wins in the first quarter included the nation-wide deployment of online customer self-scheduling systems for a number of well-known organizations. The YMCA rolled out Appointment-Plus to allow the online scheduling of trainers and court reservations. The United States Coast Guard implemented Appointment-Plus at 20 locations across North America to schedule testing sessions. On the higher education front, the first quarter saw 26 new college campuses implement Appointment-Plus to allow online student self-scheduling, including the deployment of Appointment-Plus at all 40 Art Institute campuses. Georgia-Pacific also expanded its use of Appointment-Plus for dock delivery appointment scheduling to all North American locations.
Appointment-Plus reported over 1000 client signups during the first quarter. This number surpasses the record number of clients added in the fourth quarter of 2008. Quarter-over-quarter revenues increased 73% and the company continues to carry no debt on its balance sheet.
"More and more organizations are turning to the cloud for solutions to their scheduling problems. Appointment-Plus is at the forefront of utilizing cloud computing to help clients increase revenues, improve scheduling efficiency, and reduce overhead, " said Bob La Loggia, president of Appointment-Plus. "And Appointment-Plus can do this at a fraction of the cost of most comparable solutions."
On the technology front, Appointment-Plus continues to expand its robust online scheduling system feature list. In the first quarter, Appointment-Plus added the ability for clients to upload documents, pictures and images. In addition, Appointment-Plus added features to its integrated mobile appointment system, My Mobile Schedule. Appointment-Plus system superiority is proven by the nearly 5.5 million customers who have securely booked appointments through the system. Each and every month nearly 1.5 million appointments are now scheduled online using Appointment-Plus.
Appointment-Plus also reported the recent opening of its San Francisco office. By having a presence in the Silicon Valley area, Appointment-Plus can utilize a veteran work force, more easily meet with partners, and stay more involved in the quickly evolving cloud computing industry.
