LINKPOINT

LinkPoint is one of the gateway providers that does not provide the technology required to allow software providers to be PCI-exempt. As a result, Appointment-Plus will not be able to offer LinkPoint as a payment gateway after September 18, 2010 (Changed from August 23, 2010). All current users of LinkPoint will be required to switch to ONE of the continuing gateway providers listed below:

  • MerchantWare: MerchantWare is the only gateway provider that will also allow you to use prompt but don't process or store payment information (a "payment token" created from a credit card number) in the system. MerchantWare is the lowest cost gateway option. MerchantWare does require a corresponding Merchant Warehouse merchant account. Click here to quickly get started with Merchant Warehouse.
  • Authorize.net: Authorize.net is an available gateway but will require the customer credit card data to be entered for each transaction, whether made by customer or a staff member through POS.
  • PayPal: PayPal is an available gateway but will require the customer credit card data to be entered for each transaction, whether made by customer or a staff member through POS. PayPal is not recommended.
  • eWay (Australia only): eWay is an available gateway for Australian clients but will require the customer credit card data to be entered for each transaction, whether made by customer or a staff member through POS.
  • eSelect-Moneris (Canada only): eSelect-Moneris is an available gateway for Canadian clients but will require the customer credit card data to be entered for each transaction, whether made by customer or a staff member through POS.

We strongly recommend that you utilize MerchantWare to maximize available options and take advantage of the lowest rates.
